In 1998, and 2002, for the Groundwater Management Program hydrologists with the Las Vegas Valley Water District performed an analysis of the costs and Benefits of Artificial Recharge in Las Vegas Valley. Both reports were focused on the northern part of the Valley where the largest concentration of wells were located.
